Hunger Action Month

What is Hunger Action Month?

Hunger Action Month is a nationwide movement each September that brings communities together to take action against hunger. Here in the Lake Norman area, 1 in 8 of our neighbors faces food insecurity, and creating meaningful change takes all of us.

At FeedNC, we see every day what happens when a community comes together. Donors give. Volunteers serve. Local businesses and organizations step up. Food is rescued and shared. And our neighbors are connected not only to nutritious food, but also to education, resources, and opportunities that can create lasting change.

This September, we’re asking you to turn awareness into action. Whether you give, volunteer, donate food, share our mission, or simply help someone learn more about the resources available to them, your action matters.

Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community where our neighbors have the food and resources they need to thrive.

Fighting hunger doesn’t require a big gesture. When our community takes small actions together, they add up to a big impact for our neighbors.

This Hunger Action Month, pick an action, make it your own, and tag FeedNC so we can celebrate our community taking action together!
