Angela M. Kline is the CEO of FeedNC, where she leads the organization’s work to fight hunger, strengthen community connections, and shape its long-term strategy.
She is passionate about building partnerships, expanding access to food, and advancing workforce development so neighbors can thrive.
Angela brings more than 20 years of experience in hunger and nutrition policy from her career at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she held senior leadership roles in the nation’s largest nutrition programs, including SNAP, and served in the Senior Executive Service. She is especially proud of her leadership during COVID-19, when she helped lead national efforts to ensure children continued to receive meals during school closures.
Angela loves working at FeedNC because of the strong sense of community and shared commitment that runs through the organization. She believes fighting hunger is about more than food; it’s about dignity, opportunity, and building strong, connected communities.

Brittany serves as Chief Operations Officer at FeedNC, leading the execution and scaling of organizational operations, programs, budgets, and facilities to ensure the organization remains effective, sustainable, and mission-ready.
She holds a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University and an MS in Clinical Psychology, and brings over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector across mental health, food and nutrition security, early childhood education, and workforce development, along with a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. This combined background informs her people-centered approach to leadership, program development, and FeedNC’s food-centered systems design.
Brittany loves working at FeedNC because of its sustainable, mission-integrated funding model, which allows the organization to build systems that not only meet immediate needs but also strengthen long-term community stability, creating programs and spaces that honor the humanity and dignity of every person served.

Karen serves as Chief Development Officer at FeedNC, leading fundraising strategy, donor and corporate partnerships, and special events that support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.
She brings more than 13 years of nonprofit development experience and a relationship-centered approach to philanthropy. Prior to joining FeedNC, Karen held development leadership roles at Manlius Pebble Hill School and the Samaritan Center in Syracuse, New York.
Karen loves working at FeedNC because she is passionate about connecting people to purpose and partnering with supporters who are deeply committed to ensuring neighbors are nourished with dignity and compassion.
Finance Team

Daisy serves as Finance Director at FeedNC, overseeing financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
She brings over 12 years of accounting experience and holds an associate degree in Accounting and Finance. Her background supports thoughtful financial planning and strong fiscal oversight across the organization.
Daisy loves working at FeedNC because her role helps ensure the organization is a good steward of donor dollars, supporting the mission with integrity and care.

Beth supports FeedNC’s daily operations by managing donations, coordinating administrative tasks, and providing behind-the-scenes support that helps the organization run smoothly. Her work includes ensuring donations are safely deposited, ordering supplies, supporting onboarding, and assisting leadership as needed.
She brings an accounting and finance background along with more than 20 years of experience as an executive administrative assistant. Beth’s experience helps keep systems organized and operations running efficiently.
Beth loves working at FeedNC because her role ensures donations are processed accurately and staff have the tools and support they need to serve the community effectively.
Community Dining & Events Team

Amber serves as Catering & Events Manager at FeedNC, leading catering and event services that maximize FeedNC’s facilities through fee-for-service catering, venue rentals, and food-centered fundraising events, driving earned revenue while creating meaningful experiences that bring people together with care and intention.
She brings more than 15 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with a background that spans roles as a sauté chef, line cook, restaurant and bar manager, and personal chef. Amber joined FeedNC in July 2024, where she combines her creativity, operational knowledge, and love of hospitality to create meals that feel thoughtful and welcoming.
Amber loves working at FeedNC because food has always been personal to her. She believes a meaningful meal is about connection and care, and her goal is to ensure every person who walks through the dining room doors feels valued, welcomed, and at home.

Lysa serves as Community Dining Coordinator at FeedNC, developing menus, coordinating meal preparation and service, and supporting daily kitchen operations to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with care. She oversees portioning and presentation, manages food inventory, and works diligently to ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and reflect the cultural preferences of the community.
She completed FeedNC’s Workforce Development Program and demonstrates strong skills in large-batch cooking, food safety, and volunteer coordination. Lysa is comfortable leading in fast-paced environments and communicates clearly and respectfully with staff, volunteers, and guests.
Lysa loves working at FeedNC because her role turns food access into consistent, dignified, and community-centered nourishment. She values creating a safe and inclusive dining space where guests feel welcomed, relationships are built, and connections happen around shared meals.

Barb serves as a Community Dining Specialist at FeedNC, supporting daily dining operations at Donoghue’s Open Door and helping ensure the space is welcoming, clean, and inviting for all who visit.
She brings a background in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, which informs her thoughtful, proactive approach to creating a positive and well-organized dining environment.
Barb loves working at FeedNC because she believes food is only part of the mission and that belonging and connection matter just as much.
Programs & Services Team

Wendy leads the Support Services team at FeedNC, overseeing Grocery and Enrollment programs and coordinating Veteran Services, Displacement Services, and Community Connections. Her work helps ensure programs are accessible, responsive, and centered on dignity for the communities served.
She brings experience across community support, caregiving, education, and service-based roles, along with a deep understanding of how people navigate complex systems during times of transition. Wendy’s perspective is shaped by both professional and lived experience, allowing her to meet individuals and families with empathy, clarity, and care.
Wendy loves working at FeedNC because she is passionate about helping people access the support they need to move forward with stability, dignity, and hope.

Brie serves as Program Manager at FeedNC, supporting Workforce Development and Education programs that help individuals build skills, access opportunities, and move toward long-term stability.
She brings experience across community engagement, customer service leadership, education support, and operations. Brie’s background includes supervisory roles, academic research and communications work, and hands-on experience in service-driven environments, all of which inform her organized, people-centered approach to program management.

Carmelita supports FeedNC’s programs by meeting one-on-one with every new applicant to complete intake, enrollments, and recertifications. She helps ensure each individual and family is connected to the programs they are eligible for, as well as additional community resources.
She brings a background in operations management, which supports an organized, thoughtful, and people-centered approach to her work.

Paige manages FeedNC’s on-site garden, where she plans, plants, and harvests seasonal crops using sustainable practices. Her work helps grow fresh produce that supports FeedNC’s programs and the community.
She brings over 10 years of experience in gardening and sustainable agriculture, with a strong background in food production, soil health, and environmentally responsible growing practices. Paige also shares her knowledge by offering educational classes to members and the community.
Paige loves working at FeedNC because her work increases access to fresh, nutritious food while supporting sustainability and dignity through locally grown produce.

Jamie oversees FeedNC’s food and nutrition programs, including Grassroots Grocery, Food Movers, and Food Truck initiatives. Her work helps ensure programs are responsive, well-supported, and provide a welcoming, dignified experience for members.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and has completed graduate coursework in Public Administration. Jamie brings over five years of experience working in nonprofit and government settings, with a strong background in leadership and program development.
Jamie loves working at FeedNC because she is passionate about creating spaces where community members can choose food and essential items with dignity, while also expanding access to nutrition education through the Food Truck and other programs.
Operations Team

Dawson serves as Operations Director at FeedNC, overseeing end-to-end food rescue operations, warehouse and logistics management, as well as facilities, grounds, asset, and vendor oversight to ensure systems run safely, efficiently, and at scale.
He brings experience in large-scale civil construction, warehouse and logistics operations, and the nonprofit sector. This background informs a systems-driven, safety-first, and forward-thinking approach to operational leadership, grounded in strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
Dawson loves working at FeedNC because he believes operational excellence is essential to preserving the organization’s mission and spirit. He is committed to serving the community with accountability, adaptability, and a long-term vision for sustainable growth.

Karen serves as Operations Administrative Specialist at FeedNC, supporting daily operations by coordinating donation deliveries and managing receiving, reporting, and dispatch to ensure food and essential items move smoothly from donation to distribution.
She brings strong organizational and multitasking skills, along with hands-on experience in receiving and dispatch, which support efficient, well-coordinated operations.
Karen loves working at FeedNC because her role helps ensure food and essential items reach community members and Donoghue’s Open Door with care and consistency.

Zak helps keep FeedNC’s food distribution moving smoothly by coordinating incoming inventory and ensuring food is directed to Grassroots Grocery and Donoghue's Open Door. He also supports daily warehouse operations by tracking inventory and helping ensure teams have the resources they need.
He brings a background in warehouse operations and customer service, along with a strong commitment to communication and teamwork that helps keep systems flowing efficiently.
Zak loves working at FeedNC because helping others has always been central to his purpose, and he is grateful to share that passion with the organization and the community.

Sha’lese supports FeedNC’s operations by helping keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with health policies and procedures. She plays an important role in ensuring inventory is received, stored, and distributed smoothly.
She is a graduate of FeedNC’s Warehouse Workforce Development Program and works closely with her teammates to keep Grassroots Grocery stocked, refrigerators full, and daily operations running efficiently.
Sha’lese loves working at FeedNC because of the people and the impact. She takes pride in knowing her work helps put food on tables and brings smiles to the faces of those served.

John supports FeedNC’s daily operations by working across intake, warehouse activities, and facility projects to help keep everything running smoothly.
He brings experience in logistics and operations, with a background that spans hands-on roles through managing shipping and receiving. John is a strong communicator who stays level-headed when solving problems and taking on new projects.
John loves working at FeedNC because the work is meaningful and fulfilling. Being able to positively impact someone’s life motivates him each day, and he does this work with his daughter in mind, hoping to set an example she can be proud of.
Development Team

Gracie serves as Grant Coordinator at FeedNC, supporting fundraising efforts by researching, writing, and managing grant proposals that align with the organization’s programs and funding priorities.
She joined FeedNC in March 2024 after earning her MA in Communication Studies from UNC Charlotte and brings a background in academic research and nonprofit communications. Her skills support clear, compelling grant narratives and strong relationships with foundation and corporate funders.
Gracie loves working at FeedNC because she enjoys connecting funder priorities with meaningful programs and seeing how well-matched partnerships strengthen the organization’s impact.

Holly supports FeedNC’s fundraising efforts through thoughtful communication, strong systems, and behind-the-scenes coordination that helps donors feel valued and connected to the mission.
She brings more than ten years of experience supporting nonprofit fundraising and operations, along with over a decade of volunteer service with community organizations. Her background includes CRM management, event support, and process improvement.

HR & Volunteering Team

Stephanie serves as FeedNC’s Volunteer Coordinator, overseeing all volunteer engagement and support across the organization. Her role helps ensure volunteers feel welcomed, prepared, and valued in the work they do.
She began working at FeedNC in April 2024 as a part-time Volunteer Specialist and stepped into the full-time Volunteer Coordinator role in January 2025. This progression reflects her deep commitment to both the organization and its mission.
Stephanie loves working at FeedNC because the work would not be possible without volunteers. She is grateful to spend her days alongside people with generous hearts who care deeply about the community.

Paul serves as Human Resource Director at FeedNC, supporting employee relations, recruitment, staff and leadership development, and volunteer group management across the organization.
His career spans multiple chapters, including work as a professional chef, a contract labor staffing professional, and a nonprofit leader. This diverse experience allows Paul to bring a practical, people-centered perspective to his role.
