Tackling Hunger Month

Hunger shouldn’t be part of anyone’s story. You can help change that this Tackling Hunger Month.

The Need Is Everywhere

Each year, 38% of food in America goes to waste, yet thousands in our community struggle to put food on the table.
Thanks to supporters like you, FeedNC rescued and redistributed that food to those who need it most — serving 5,000 more meals in 2024 and providing hope to 1,800 children and hundreds of families.

FeedNC + FCA Tackling Hunger Initiative

This October, FeedNC and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) are teaming up to bring awareness to hunger in our community by involving local athletes in the fight.

During the rivalry football game between Mooresville High School and Lake Norman High School, the winning team will take home the FeedNC Cup Trophy — but the real win happens off the field. From October 20th to the 30th, students and faculty from both schools will compete to collect the most nonperishable food items.

Together, we’re tackling hunger and fueling hope across our community.

Ways To Give Back

🍎 Donate:

Your giving fuels over 2 million dollars’ worth of community impact each year. Every dollar goes directly toward nourishing families and helping them get back on their feet.

🙌 Volunteer:

With 60,000+ hours served last year, volunteers saved FeedNC nearly $2 million in costs — allowing us to serve more meals and expand our programs. From meal prep to food rescue, there’s a place for everyone to make a difference.

💚 Host a Food Drive:

Rally your coworkers, church, or friends to collect nonperishable foods. Every can counts — and every meal means hope.

🍽 Dine at Donoghue’s Open Door:

Enjoy breakfast or lunch while supporting a mission that feeds our community. Open Monday–Friday, 9 AM–2 PM — everyone’s welcome.
